Romantic Lavandula Swiss Italian Farm Wedding
Can we just talk about this ceremony venue for a sec? Lavandula Swiss Italian Farm has a hold on me with it's vast fields of lavender as the backdrop. This place of beauty also happens to be not on the ceremony setting, but where this thoughtful Groom proposed to his lovely Bride. Swooning yet? There's even more in the gallery from Fotojojo!
From the beautiful Bride… Daylesford has always been our favourite weekend away destination and we always make a trip out to the beautiful gardens at Lavandula before heading home. Aaron, knowing my love for the gardens, decided this was the perfect location for a surprise birthday picnic, and romantically proposed on the background of some very vocal goats and geese. Naturally, we couldn’t imagine a more beautiful or romantic place to exchange our vows.
We wanted everything about our wedding to be soft, romantic, and relaxed. We both fell in love with Sault the first time we dined there, and knew immediately it was the perfect location for our reception venue. Set against a backdrop of lavender fields and mountains, and overlooking its own lake, Sault is a delight for both the eyes and the tastebuds. Lit by candlelight and scattered with jars of pink and cream carnations and roses on the night, Sault definitely did not disappoint.
While there were so many beautiful moments on the day, Aaron and I both agree that the most magical was the moment we both laid eyes on one another for the first time. As I walked down the aisle our amazing band played “No Woman, No Cry’ by Bob Marley, and I, along with everyone else there, was completely moved by Aaron’s emotional reaction. It meant the world to me to witness Aaron express his love in such a public and uncensored way, and is a memory I will treasure forever.
From Fotojojo… Aaron and Mistral, and all their family and friends for that matter, were so full of love and emotion. The kind of love that you can’t contain. It was simply beautiful. Mistral and Aaron embraced those feelings and wore their hearts on their sleeves, and everyone who was there to witness could feel how deep their love runs for one another.
You couldn’t have asked for a better setting for an amazing couple than Lavandula Italian farm and Sault Restaurant surrounded by lavender and rolling hills. It was a day that will stick with me for a long time. I want to have that day all over again!
