My favorite engagement sessions are always, without fail, the ones where I get to take a little peek into the personalities of the people in front of the camera. So when this adorable duo decided to bring Studio Finch along to snap some pictures of their typical Saturday morning in their gorgeous neighborhood, they ended up with pictures that are simply priceless. See why I’m such a huge fan here.
From Studio Finch…Julie and Mike absolutely love their neighborhood- it’s the perfect place to call home. Since they will be getting married in Chicago, they wanted to make sure to showcase New York City and Westvillage. Greenwich is filled with their favorite coffee shops, antique bike stores, the Hudson River boardwalk, Strand Bookstore and just about everything you can dream of. (Not to mention, Warby Parker just opened up shop, and Julie is obsessed going there. Glasses collection? I dare say yes.
We followed Julie and Mike around to showcase one of their typical Saturday afternoons- filled with reading, coffee, and neighborhood exploration. We stopped by Hudson Urban Bicycles, which had a plethora of amazing bikes and scooters in their yard. The Highline Trail allowed for some amazing urban nature- a bit of air in the contrete jungle. Everywhere from the Hudson River Board walk to Newspaper stands. It’s always amazing to see how much New York has to offer.
