Pop of Pink Malibu Wedding at Ranch Del Cielo
A pop of pink is something we embrace with open arms here in SMP land. From pale blush right on through to hot, hot pink – this is a wedding that is fully on the pink bandwagon. From the Bride... It was very important to us to have a simple but very classic wedding. We searched all through Los Angeles and Orange County for the perfect venue, and when we got to Rancho del Cielo we knew it was the one. Once we got out of our car we both immediately let out a simultaneous gasp…so at Rancho del Cielo we were married.
It was important for our wedding to be OUR labor of love. We wanted a beautiful wedding (simple and elegant) but it was also very important for us to to wisely invest in our special day. We became the ultimate DIY couple, everything we made, we made together and everything we bought (from Etsy and the flea market ) we choose together. We planned our wedding in just 5 months so that meant a lot of long weekends on our feet at flea markets, thrift stores, discount stores, and garage sales.
The centerpieces and the aisle decorations were probably my own favorite pieces of the décor. For the centerpieces we found all the center vases/wine glasses from Ikea (yes Ikea), and for the smaller vases/punch cups encircling each main piece we went to flea markets across town to find a mix that worked just right. We found the mercury votive holders online at a discount retailer and finished off the center pieces with the table number tags, lace clothesline clips, and dyed burlap runners from Etsy. My husband and I actually made all of the aisle decor ourselves. We found simple oil bottles online and wrapped pink ribbon around the base and twine around the bottle neck to create the look that you see in the photo.
