Romantic Biola University Wedding
This wedding basically rocks my world for a million different reasons, but let me start out with these four words: root beer float station. Umm... awesome. Add in a bride and groom who know a thing or two about throwing a casually elegant party and a crazy cool outdoor setting like Biola University and this, my friends, is the perfect end to the work week. See it all captured by Marvin Tsai right here.
From the Bride... I have had the pleasure to coordinate weddings and intern at wedding planning firms. Being surrounded with the flurry of weddings and their details, I realized when I got engaged that I wanted a sweet and simple wedding. As an illustrator and designer myself, I was able to craft simple lettered projects that really depicted my style. My invitations, table numbers, wooden signs and other details were all birthed from my love for hand-lettering! In addition, what was so unique and special to me was that our dear friend Iris, the owner of Float Pasadena, brought her team out to do a custom root beer float station for our wedding! My surprise engagement party was held at this very cafe and it was so special to have them supply drinks at our wedding.
Going into the early months of wedding planning, my fiancé and I decided to have one aspect of the wedding we could splurge on and the rest would be set within a budget. This really helped us to be flexible, invite all the friends and family members we wanted to, and most importantly led us to be utterly content with the final product. We had over 300 guests in attendance and had a fabulous night of merriment!
