Dreamy Poem Wedding Inspiration

“Day by day and night by night we were together,—All else has long been forgotten by me.” Who knew one little line from Walt Whitman could be the driving inspiration behind such wedding loveliness from To La Lune and Amy Carlston? And beyond lovely it is. Complete with giant proteas, gorgeous stationery and vintage goodies, this is a gallery you won’t want to miss!

From To La LuneThe inspiration behind this shoot grew from a line in a dreamy poem written by the American poet Walt Whitman, which reads, “Day by day and night by night we were together,—All else has long been forgotten by me.” We fell in love with the vision of a couple lost in their unique love, as everything else fades away behind the scenes. This shoot celebrates that amazing, organic and completely unique bond, truly understood only by those who have dreamily fallen head over heels.

Hidden Oaks Private Wedding and Events located in Ramona, California provided the perfect earthy and magical backdrop for such an intimate affair. A large oak tree gently held cascading fabric for a strong yet elegantly chic ceremony space.

Gorgeous floral arrangements by Plenty of Petals delicately blended pops of color and stunning texture against the wood and velvet wrapped menus, calligraphy adorned slate place cards and Vietri dishware that decorated each place setting. A bridal bouquet bursting with soft ruffled ranunculus, jasmine and garden roses was held stunningly against the “Everything I Am” gown by Ivy & Aster leaving us all swooning. A reception toss bouquet made of three protea all in different stages of blossom sat pretty alongside the champagne tour stacked with mix and match coupes.

Invitations and paper elements created by Lovely Paper Things brought together both the delicate and masculine side of nature with a lovely ethereal flair. Hand painted gold accents and watercolor painted florals used throughout the suite, mixed together perfectly with the earthy wood, slate and clay materials. With the addition of a gold wax seal and luscious velvet ribbon a gorgeous natural blend of beautiful classic simplicity was born.

Cucina Coronado’s menu of deliciously paired bright vegetables and rich meats created stunning culinary perfection. Even the starter, fresh farmers market chopped salad adorned with local produce left us begging for more. The perfectly prepared filet mignon over a roasted kohlrabi and shallot puree with black cherry balsamic demi glace and microgreens created the perfect entrée.

The sweet scent of sugar drifted heavenly in the air from the dessert display. S’more Sweets Bakery ornamented the display with angel food cupcakes, pavlova hearts with fresh chantilly cream, macarons and a naked cake blossoming with a cheerful floral topper.

The darling bride blew everyone away with her second look for the reception, changing into a sleek and chic number by Stone Cold Fox perfectly paired with a jewel dripped Anthropologie necklace and a burgundy lip.
