It’s hard to argue the sheer awesomeness of a traditional wedding. They rock, and we all know it. But add in some elegant Shanghai inspired elements and a sophisticated black and red color palette (complete with roses) and it gives an entirely new meaning to the term classic. It’s crazy beautiful fashion meets a whole lot of Petroleum Club pretty. See it all captured by Kimberly Chau right here.
From Kimberly Chau… I had a wonderful time photographing Judy and Binh’s wedding! It’s definitely one of my favorite weddings to capture. Judy and Binh have know each other for 13 years. They met for the first time at Judy’s coffee bar here in Houston. As Binh shared, “Her coffee kept me coming back for more.”
Judy and Binh visited Shanghai many years back together, “It was such beatiful city where the West meets the East. The 40′s era always connected well with with us.” They used the inspiration for their wedding and included the classic elegance and ambience from PETROLEUM CLUB for their reception. And of course, the view overlooking Houston from PETROLEUM CLUB was simply amazing.
It was such a lovely celebration between Judy and Binh’s closest friends and family. It was a small cozy wedding where the guests just interact, mingle and dance the night away. I loved the surprise dragon dance since Judy and Binh were both born in the year of the dragon!
