From the Bride... Having been born and raised in Seattle, I always thought I would end up getting married there one day, but after Cory proposed, the concept of a destination wedding became very appealing. I immediately thought Palm Desert would be the perfect destination location because my family has been splitting time between there and Seattle for the past 10 years. It is far enough away to enjoy the California sunshine in the fall, but not so far that planning and travel would be too difficult. It is the perfect escape.
From the start, Cory and I were sure of two things: we wanted Kate Price as our photographer and live music during the cocktail hour. We were introduced to Michael Tiernan, an amazing musician and DJ who actually learned how to perform a Dave Matthews' song for our first dance. He topped it off by performing Jimmy Buffet and Tom Petty for the father-daughter and mother-son dances. It was exactly what Cory and I had envisioned, but BETTER!
Ironwood Country Club was an amazing venue for our wedding. Not only is the club absolutely beautiful, but their event staff exceeded all of our expectations, ensuring that everything went smoothly. The entire day went off without a hitch. We hired the “The Yes Girls” for our day-of coordination and they did a fabulous job and made sure the only thing Cory and I had to focus on was each other on our special day. Our florist was Joey at Artisan Events. I knew I could trust him to take what little vision I had and create beautiful church arrangements as well as reception center pieces that shined throughout the night.
We never dreamed that our wedding would turn out to be so beautiful, relaxed, and fun-loving. We know we have our amazing photographer, musician, coordinators and florist to thank for that. It really was the most unforgettable day of our lives, and always will be.
