Waterfront Maryland Wedding at The Inn At Perry Cabin

Waterfront Maryland weddings are basically unbeatable. They somehow mix chic and casual unlike anywhere else. This beauty is the perfect example, it’s downright stunning but yet you know the guests had a ridiculously amazing time. And with the oh so talented Jacqueline of Birds Of A Feather behind the lens to capture every moment, we’ve basically hit the jackpot of pretty. See more here.

From the Bride…We really visited the venue at the recommendation of my father. He had stayed there at least once on a business trip and told us we should check it out. Given my mothers desire to dress me in anything Laura Ashley throughout my childhood until I was old enough to protest and Walter’s childhood spend sailing on ships with his father not to mention our shared love for the water and anything nautical, it was really the perfect fit! We fell in love when we went to visit (which was in December shortly after we got engaged). We were just blown away when we saw how amazing everything looked with leaves on the trees and the sun shining! It was really sort of a whirlwind! We met in April of 2012 (on Match.com no less! ew! you can probably leave that less than romantic part out), were engaged by the end of November of the same year and then married in October of the following year. So really we met, got engaged, planned a wedding, and got married in less than a year and a half. And amazingly we still not only love each other, but like each other too!! Invitations were all handmade by me. Walter did the typeset and printing and I put them together. Place cards were typed on Walter’s antique typewriter. The note attached to the guest gift was a donation we made to a charity that is close to Walter’s heart called the Invisible Children. Amazing moments throughout the evening…sort of a blur really. My father’s speech sort of sticks with me. He is the only man I know with the ability to make a smart ass remark in one breath and bring a crowd to tears in the next. The song he picked out for our first dance says it all. Gracie by Ben Folds “You can’t fool me I saw you when you came out, You have your mama’s taste but you’ve got my mouth…
