Rustic Ranch Wedding
Colorado is a crazy gorgeous place to get married. And when you add in a beautiful ranch setting and overcast skies that can only be described as breathtaking, it's more than crazy gorgeous... it's magical. Case in point? This amazing day captured by Rachel Olsen, a rustic meets totally elegant affair styled to perfection by One Fine Day Productions. Colorado never looked so good. Click here for more.
From the Bride... I didn't really dream of my perfect wedding as a young girl growing up, but I can truly say I ended up having my perfect wedding without even knowing it. Looking back, the wedding was everything that we hoped it would be, and we felt that it represented us as a couple because it was warm and welcoming, simple but classic, and more than anything it was meaningful and fun! The most memorable moment for me was standing with David during the ceremony and watching our God parents read the readings we had picked out, and watching our nephew play the version of "Amazing Grace" that he composed on the keyboard as he sat in the doorway of the historic barn behind which we were married. In close second was my dad's toast at the reception that had all of the guests laughing and crying at different times, and meant the world to David and me. Things that we incorporated into our decor that I loved were the lighted hanging grapevine balls in the tent, kraft paper signage, and colorful menu/thank you's that we put at each place setting. The Hawaiian singers we had play during the cocktail hour were a special surprise for David that he didn't know about until after the ceremony. We danced to 'Give Yourself to Love' by Kate Wolf for our first dance because I loved the message and thought the melody was romantic and beautiful. I did most of the day-of printing myself. The programs, thank you/menus, place cards, and table numbers I assembled myself by backing them with kraft paper, cutting and tying the ribbon, and rounding the corners. I have my twin sister to thank for all of the design work!
