With Spring in full force, I’m dreaming of lush blooms and open airy spaces on the daily. So when this refreshing garden inspiration landed in my lap, the timing couldn’t have been more perfect. The Southern sweethearts of Signature Occasions, Au Courant Floral and Lindsay Vallas Photography pulled it all together so fabulously and it’s waiting right here in this pretty gallery!
Visualize amazing florals, hanging greenery, ivory lace, and the overall feeling of being in a dreamy enchanted garden… well that is exactly what you get when talented Southern vendors come together to capture Classic Southern Elegance. We really wanted to do a collaboration inspired by the outdoor garden. Most southern weddings are based on the beautiful surroundings and we wanted to capture that and incorporate the romance that can mean as a backdrop. We selected all local vendors and even a local private residence to emphasize our area and really collaborate as a team. It was an amazing day that highlighted our talents as a group.
From Kristen and Deborah of Signature Occasions… If you want to create this for your own wedding, the overall goal is to keep things light, soft, and airy when it comes to colors. This also means that when you look back at pictures later it will always seem timeless. The use of the vintage furniture is a key ingredient- thanks to Modern Revival, we had amazing vintage sofas and wonderful pieces throughout the venue. Unique elements like hanging a window as a table or doing something in a different way is always fun.
From Meredith of Au Courant Floral… Using hanging greenery, and multi petal flowers like Juliet garden roses, opened parrot tulips and seeded eucalyptus gives an airy organic feeling. Another key is to not be afraid of texture because it can make any bouquet or arrangement unique. This particular bouquet was finished with textured ribbon like ruffled satin and lace.
From Lindsay of Lindsay Vallas Photography… Every bride falls in love with photos in the magazines, so make it a priority to carve out time to have your own photo shoot on your wedding day. That can be having a vintage sofa set in a field or a beautiful garden for photos, but just have an area perfect for you two as a couple. If possible, have professional hair and makeup done too. It will allow you to feel extra beautiful and special on your wedding day.
