Casual + Rustic Wedding at McQueen Ranch

I hope nothing ever comes along and knocks casual elegance off it's reining throne for the best weddings ever. The weddings that fall under this category really are just the greatest, with a sense of romance taking the lead over anything else. Fawn Christiansen sent over just this sort of wedding and I've been letting my hair down with this pretty gallery all day!

From Fawn Christiansen... These two were married at the McQueen Ranch in Santa Paula, Ca. 140 friends and families traveled from San Diego and beyond to see these two tie the knot. Micah and the groomsmen got ready in her Grandpa's airplane hanger that was filled with beautiful vintage cars, bowties, good scotch and lots of boyish charm. They rode off together to the ceremony site in grandpa's classic woody. Kaley gifted Micah before the ceremony a journal that she had kept since they got engaged, documenting their journey. The Groomsmen Bowties were DIY and the bouquets were tied with coordinating fabric. The Bridesmaid were giddy with smiles as they toasted with bubbly as they helped Kaley get ready to walk down the aisle.

The ceremony was surrounded with vast mountains, vineyards, blue skies and the occasional buzz of an airplane.. It was so peaceful, quiet and the mood was serene. It was simply perfect. The emotion, tears of joy and smiles that overflowed at this ceremony, were nothing short of magical.

The reception took place on the properties airplane hanger which was transformed into a wonderland of gold and white. Guest enjoyed street tacos and cocktails and they danced the night away to the tunes of the band. Friends and family happily had their hands in this lovely wedding, lots of DIY projects such as the gorgeous swing that was covered in flowers and the gold dipped vases that lined the reception tables.
