San Juan Island Wedding Day

The backdrop for this wedding - Roche Harbor Resort - reminds me of something out of a movie. Like a classic love story movie. Where the leaves are just starting to turn, the boats are both romantic and insanely elegant, the bride can't stop smiling and details? Well they are innately timeless and chic at the exact same time. With photographs from Catherine Rhodes, this wedding simply makes us happy.

From Photographer, Catherine Rhodes...Molly and Stu were married on the beautiful San Juan island off the coast of Washington! If you have ever been to the island, then you know how special it feels, almost as if you are in your own storybook between the rolling green hills and foggy afternoons. With such a beautiful location, I thought that Film would be necessary for the essence of the day. So as you look through the images you will see a beautiful mix of both Film and Digital Images.

Their wedding and reception took place during a brisk fall afternoon at Roche Harbor Resort on a stunning lawn set right next to the water. With the air cool and leaves falling these two beautiful individuals said I DO to their own wedding vows.

After their wedding we managed to snap a few images in between congratulatory hugs and tears during cocktail hour. It was such a joyous day and the reception really took off after dinner with sweet words and dancing! It was truly a beautiful day, relaxed and full of love.
