From Jennifer J Designs... This was one of my favorite weddings to date. This weekend wedding provided a setting and ambiance that this party going couple yearned for. They are young, fresh, and beyound cool. Their jet setting lifestyle led them to wanting to provide their family and friends with a fun weekend full of visual surprises and upscale indulgences. What better venue than the Parker with the architectural interests and winding pathways leading to quirky courtyards and hidden hammocks. This property has hosted Hollywood's finest through the years and provided fun elements such as random lemonade stands serving spiked cocktails and a friendly staff always hiding around the corner waiting for vacation requests.

Maggie and John wanted to keep with the venues style and have the wedding decor trendy with a retro flair and keep with the falls color pallete of sunset tones and earthy elements. Maggie is not you average bride, I would have to say she exhales a coolness and calmness that any wedding planner would die to have. So I was thrilled to have her be the first bride to carry our first Bull Horn Bouquet. I teamed up with the fabulous Tessa Robison to create a living bouqet that would set my bride apart from the rest. We used gorgeous sunset tones of fresia and orchids with a fabulous array of airplants that we set into a real bull horn!

The ceremony site was on the croquet lawn where we created an ombre effect in sunset tones with rose petals and used hanging orbs filled with matching blooms to create a centerpiece that reflected the style of the wedding (modern retro). The table decor was set on top of sunset toned chevron and eyecat runners with modern white vases plugged with single blooms in matching tones. To reflect the couples' traveling lifestyle, I was inspired by vintage Pan Am advertisements and recreated each table to be a country they have traveled around the world. Megan Welker was able to catch these details with a modern eye and whimsical points of view.

"The Tear Jerker"- One of the best parts of this wedding did not lie in the decor, venue, or even dress, but the bride was very persistant to make a live video chat with the groom's two best friends that were out of the country and overseas not able to make the wedding. She wanted it to be a surprise to the groom which took much planning and permission to make happen. The groom was completely surprised by the live musical performance and very comedic speech his boys gave via Skype. The groom was thrilled to tears and the whole entire room felt the emotions that this video evoked.

After dinner, the room transformed into a night club enviroment with one of the best DJ's in Southern California and dancing crowd thrilled to be loving and laughing together. The weekend ended with a brunch hosted by the bride and groom the following morning at one of the historical villas on Site.
