From Minted ArtistryHave you watched the show Downton Abbey yet? I have and I am in love with it! Brides and stylists can effortlessly gather inspiration from the fashion, time period and glamorous lifestyle of the Downton cast.

A soft and lush garden party was my vision for this shoot at The T & P Station in Ft. Worth, Texas. Peyronet Photography captured the elements used to create all of the wonderful details; such as, ribbon rosette linens from La Tavola, vintage furniture and dinnerware and opulent florals with cascading ribbon for extra texture. I fell in love with a soft tulle gown accented with delicate lace at Bridal Boutique of Lewisville. A Swarovski crystal tiara and belt added glamour to the brides soft look.

The indulgent pastry set up from Tart Bakery showcased mouthwatering French macaroons, fruit tartlets and cake balls all displayed on unique furniture and accent pieces from Gold Dust Vintage. The bridal cake from Ramono’s Bakery with buttercream frosting and a crystal cake topper was a marvelous addition. The details of this shoot perfected by Minted Artistry were very reminiscent of a formal English high tea which is easily translated into an opulent reception.

The scrumptious floral designs from Justine’s Flowers paired impeccably with the vintage tableware and chairs. The antique cut glass punch bowl from Gold Dust Vintage was the perfect vessel to compliment the vibrant colors in the peonies, garden roses, and tulips. The place cards, menus and stationery designs from The Three, were a sweet and soft touch to the table top. The intricate elements combined to create a romantic garden party place setting for each guest.

The model donned an exquisite gown for the time period and was accessorized with vintage pieces to enhance the look of the Downton Abbey era. With an intricate chignon of loose curls designed by Renn Traylor Beauty and fresh and lovely makeup by Lip Service Professional Makeup Artistry, her formal look was pulled together. To incorporate a heirloom family piece, the florist created a delicate floral bouquet on top of small mother of pearl bible. For a fresh take on a traditional cascading bouquet, the feminine bridal flowers included peach roses, ivory tulips and hanging amaranthus. The bride showcased her personality with her own vintage furs, strands of pearls, glamorous belts and a feather fascinator.

Downton Abbey was the perfect inspiration for my idea of a little girl’s tea party to evolve into a sophisticated grown up affair.
