From Rebecca Chan Weddings + Events… Jessica and Edward wanted a modern and intimate wedding for their closest friends and family of 130 guests in the heart of downtown Toronto. They chose a stunning event space called Malaparte in the TIFF Lightbox building. It is known for its spectacular floor to ceiling windows featuring a breathtaking cityscape and ultra modern interior. The rooftop terrace overlooking the bustling entertainment district made for the perfect backdrop to their ceremony, followed by cocktails that took in the great view.

The bride’s sophisticated taste and soft colour palette was intricately woven into the details of the wedding celebration. Guests were greeted with lush floral elements blooming with pink peonies and left with a sweet taste of pink macaron favours.

The bride’s whimsical side came through in the cute cake topper and the giant balloons that followed her around. The night could not have ended off more perfectly with their first dance on the terrace as husband and wife were surrounded by sparklers and their loved ones.

The couple didn’t forget to include their Chinese roots either, with a traditional tea ceremony in the morning and celebrating with a toast at each guest table during dinner.

It was a beautiful celebration with personal touches such as the hand crafted cake toppers and table numbers which were made by the bride. All of the family animals had bow ties hand sewn by the groom.
