Rustic, Elegant Mountain Wedding in Big Canoe, Georgia

Amy Arrington ranks high on the top of my list of photographers I wish could follow me around and captured every single moment of my life. And that really takes no justification other than just staring at this stunning set of images.  Because every moment of this elegant mountain fete is frame-worthy to say the very least, and you can see even more right here.

From the Bride…Our wedding was tucked into the mountains of Big Canoe on a stunning fall day in late September. The skies were clear and the temperature was just right. We wanted the day to be surrounded by nature in an informal, but elegant atmosphere. The mountain view and bright sun set a peaceful yet romantic tone for the whole weekend. Family and friends stayed the weekend in neighboring mountain houses just a shuttle’s ride from the ceremony and reception. The first look was truly special. We met at the top of an old wooden bridge in mid afternoon. Amy and Brandon did an incredible job of capturing our overwhelming joy and emotion. The ceremony took place in a lovely chapel with a series of French doors down each side that were opened to provide an “outdoor wedding” feel. The reception was held just down the hill from the Chapel at a venue with a lodge like interior existing of several large fireplaces and a wide, wrap-around deck. A giant oak tree wrapped in twinkle lights spread its branches over the entire patio. There were candles and baby’s breath everywhere. A low stone wall overlooking a beautiful lake and golf course anchored the scene as well as provided a backdrop for the band. A delicious buffet and cocktails were joined by a 6 piece acoustic band to entertain our guests at the reception. As the sun set, the dancing began. It was truly a perfect day. A celebration that could not have been filled more with love and a setting that defined us.
