Romantic Old World New York Wedding

I know I am not supposed to be a jealous blogger, but honestly, some days I just can’t help it.  Because a wedding as amazing as this?  I want it.  I want that gorgeous calla lily bouquet from Folly Flowers and Joy, that stunning Vera Wang gown and that fairytale-esque ceremony that will literally take your breath away.  See it all captured beautifully by Charlotte Jenks Lewis in the full gallery.

From the Bride… Jake and I met three years ago after brunch in the East Village. I had just moved to New York City from Miami, and Jake had been living in NY for 10 years. Although Jake is from Atlanta, and I’m originally from Michigan, we decided we wanted a New York wedding. We both just love the incredible city where we met!

We chose Fort Tryon Park for the beauty of the park, and the backdrop of the Hudson River and the George Washington bridge. The Park also carries with it a sense of history and some beautiful architecture – it was originally constructed in the 1930’s by the Olmstead Brothers. The overall look of the wedding was Old New York and our colors were Black, White and Wine!
