From Michelle Lange… As a photographer, one of our roles is to be one step ahead of everyone else. Our clients are the heartbeats of our businesses, and decisions and actions related to the function of ones business should always keep that heartbeat in mind. From the beginning of my business, I had a very detailed ‘if something ever happened’ plan. Both my parents, my husband have the detailed plan. A few of my closest photographer friends are aware that they are listed as the contacts. Never in a million years would I have thought that this plan would have had to go into effect, but the day before this inspiration shoot (planned months in advance), it did. And my businesses heart did not skip a bit. I truly believe that some higher power made me require an emergency appendectomy at a time where I had a break in the wedding season. What’s most important here, is that upon contacting what is outlined in my plan as an emergency backup photographer, Angela Newton Roy stepped up to the plate to photograph this inspiration shoot I was so excited about for months. This says a lot about ones character and the industry as a whole. The wedding industry, while competitive, it is driven by people who love love and believe in teamwork. While I hope to never have to put this emergency plan into effect again, I am comforted in knowing of what great industry I am a part of.
From Kat Eitner Events… This inspiration shoot developed from a vision of bohemian and honeycomb elements. The black antique furniture from Trunk Vintage Rentals were the perfect backdrop for the pops of coral in Karma Flowers table and bouquet design. Show stopping Marchesa and Reem Acra gowns from Elizabeth John’s, quilted table runner and unconventionally beautiful table floral design added Bohemian elements. We hope to inspire couples to incorporate eye catching elements, such as the honeycomb or pop of color, throughout their big day.
