Romantic Barr Mansion Wedding
The romantic Texas wedding and Forever Photography Studio go hand in hand, but when you add in Barr Mansion and a wedding this beautiful, it's a whole new level of pretty. The kind of pretty that makes you suddenly realize you've spent hours in the gallery - even though it's only felt like minutes.
From the beautiful bride... Mauricio and I met at a mutual friends birthday party at a lounge bar in Houston in 2007. As cheesy as it sounds I still think it was fate because neither of us really wanted to go out that night but did because we each had a friend who insisted we go. He said one thing to crack me up and I think we saw each other every day from that moment on.
The Barr Mansion was the first venue I visited and I instantly knew this was it. I was living in austin at the time going to culinary school while Mauricio was in Houston.Ii knew he would love it as well but I still visited a few more venues just to be sure but nothing compared to the rustic coziness of Barr Mansion.
For the overall look and style of the wedding, I wanted to stay away from the over the top elegant look and have a more relaxed wedding decor with warm colors. I just kind of worked around my favorite colors, olive green, lavender, coral, and gold.
The most important thing for us was that everyone have a fun time at the reception and thats why we made it a priority to have tons of fun props and shots for the reception.
Because my dad passed two years before our wedding I made sure to have a little section dedicated to him.
