From Wright Photographs...Allerton Park in Monticello, Illinois is certainly one of our favorite places to photograph Midwest Illinois weddings. The mansion is beautiful for receptions and speaks for itself, but what I really love about Allerton is the abundant options they have for ceremony locations. Couples can choose anywhere on the grounds and Allerton makes it happen! Ever since Blaine and I found these four columns in the woods at Allerton we've hoped to capture an intimate ceremony here but we've yet to find that perfect couple. So instead of waiting we teamed up with some of Champaign's raddest vendors and created this intimate affair. We first got together with Kristine of Flowers by Kristine and set the vibe. We wanted it to be light-hearted, whimsical, and organic. I was dying to photograph a simple bouquet with a hint of poppies in it and when Kristine mentioned her desire to incorporate tomatoes...I was sold. That all came together rather quickly. When it came to the eats it wasn't hard to know who we wanted to make the desserts, Lauren and Annie of L.A. Gourmet are two of the most creative culinary gals around! They did an awesome job. We really appreciated all of their hard work and were so thankful to have those two be a part of the shoot. The bridal gown was easy to pick out at Michelle's Bridal because we all wanted a gown that was original and this one spoke for itself and matched perfectly. We really appreciate Allerton's aesthetic and their desire to keep the grounds and mansion so true. It's wonderful to have such a willing venue so close. We cannot wait to all join forces again soon!
