Whimiscial Wedding at the Historic Griffith House

Mint green + pink is one of my favorite color combos of all time. Both sweet and elegant, it makes the perfect wedding palette for any affair, and this Historic Griffith House "I do" is an A+ example. Fabulously documented by Amanda Bevington, it's a pastel floral lover's heaven and you can get your swoon on in the gallery right here.

From the Bride... We chose this location because I had always dreamed of having an all outdoor wedding filled with trees, greenery, tons of florals and lights. When we went to visit the location and turned the corner to see the venue and fell in love with the blank canvas and knew we could do just about anything with the space.

There were so many amazing moments! I know I should say the best moment was seeing my soon to be husband crying as I walked down the aisle or our first kiss (both incredible moments), but my favorite part of our wedding had to be the speeches. My husbands best man was so overjoyed for us that he couldn't even get a full sentence out, my maid of honor swore she wouldn't cry but of course she did and my father's speech brought just about everyone to tears as he talked about his little girl.

I was lucky enough to be surrounded by amazing women who helped me through this entire journey. The best advice I received as a bride was to take in every little moment and enjoy myself. The entire day goes by so quickly that there is no time to sweat the small stuff.

All of the detail that was put into our wedding was completely us, from the small baseball touches, our memory table filled with photos remembering family members that we know are watching over us everyday. We were even lucky enough to get our favorite morning show DJ to come and DJ our wedding. Our day was filled with family, friends and love.

Adam and I spent years as friends before we finally realized there were feelings there. Every day I spent with him I fell even more in love with him. Our interests couldn't be more similar, we both love going to the movies, staying in and watching our favorite TV shows and of course we share a love for Softball. We bring out the best in each other and his calmness meshes perfectly with my sometimes crazy personality.

I adored our baseball details, we had a bat that everyone signed, a baseball that held our wedding bands and our table numbers were black and white photos of our favorite Major League Ballplayers. Another detail I loved was our music, I put a lot of thought into our music choices (maybe a little too much thought) I even found a violin cover of my husbands favorite song by his favorite band for our wedding party to walk down the aisle to (I still wonder if anyone really realized what it was). The last detail was my favorite (along with most of our guests): Our flowers floored everyone. They were everywhere you looked, & our wedding day was drenched in white orchids, soft pink roses and succulents.

I wouldn't change a thing! Our day was perfect and that had a lot to do with the people who helped I couldn't have asked for a better group, they made our day perfect!.....except for the heat...it could have been a little cooler : )
