Los Angeles Engagement at the Griffith Observatory

High up on a hilltop overlooking Los Angeles is the prettiest little spot for proposing and picture taking. It goes by the name of Griffith Observatory and it has indeed met its match with this adorable couple dressed to the nines and toting image capturer One Eleven Photography. Together they are making some engagement session magic and you can see it all right here.

I have been wanting to do an engagement session at the Griffith Observatory for ages but for one reason or another the quintessential LA landmark remained One Eleven-less… until now! I was possibly a little too excited when Ashley and Brett told me they wanted to do their engagement photos there while in town for a visit (they live in Chicago). There are few places, I think, that say “Los Angeles” more than the Observatory. But, the real kicker… it’s where Brett proposed to Ashley AND the day we did our shoot was the anniversary of their first date. How awesome is that!?

We went late in the afternoon and the light was gorgeous and I loved Ashley and Brett’s wardrobe choices. Everything about the couple of hours we spent there was so inspiring to me and I think that really comes through in the photos we got. I think they really captured their personalities and their relationship… sweet, fun and full of love.
