Blush, Peach + Gold Anthropologie Inspired Wedding

The title says it all: it’s going to be your favorite wedding yet. A blush color palette with hints of gold, an Antrhopologie-inspired design from Finch and Thistle Event Design… and not to mention a couple as cute as can be, madly in love, and captured in the best light possible by Courtney Bowlden. It’s pretty much perfection in a beautiful gallery!

From the designer… Nikki was a dream bride to work with on the design of her August country club wedding. From the very beginning, we were on exactly the same page with the design style she requested: an elegant ballroom style wedding in blush, peach and gold with whimsical, Anthropologie inspired touches. Inspired by her rose gold engagement ring Nikki had already picked out watercolor pink, peach and gold invitations and we ran with those colors in all the other details and design elements.

While the bridal party finished up pictures, guests were greeted by a harpist and drinks as they arrived for the ceremony. They picked up gorgeous gold foiled programs by La Happy displayed under huge gold urns of garden roses on black vintage side tables at the back of the aisle. At the top of the aisle a ceremony backdrop of vintage iron gates decorated with hydrangea and roses awaited the bridal party while gold hobnailed vases of crabapples and roses lined the aisle.

After the ceremony, everyone retreated to the pool area for cocktails where we had placed large floating floral pieces to decorate the pool. In the ballroom, the reception tables were topped in pink and gold silk linens from La Tavola and we used their fabulous sequined linens on the head table and display tables. We used gold urns in varying heights for the centerpieces and set up sweet little tableaus of vintage gold mirrored frames and pink depression martini glasses used as votive holders. We used lush seasonal local flowers such as garden roses, pieris, Pee Gee hydrangea, and dahlias with crabapple branches and blushing bride protea accents all in shades of ivory, rose and peach. The favors were small boxes of chocolates by local favorite Theo Chocolates and there was a sumptuous desert buffet of cakes, macaroons and sweets provided by Tallant House and rose flavored cotton candy by SPUN. We echoed the ceremony backdrop in the design of the dessert table using another set of iron gates that we decorated with a bay leaf garland, floral pieces topping gold wall sconces and the couple’s monogram. The bride and groom’s head table was decorated with lots of antique brass pieces filled with roses and fun little brass figurines such as deer and cranes.
