New York City Loft Wedding

Is it just me or are rooftop ceremonies the coolest way ever to say “I do”?  Seriously chic, totally breathtaking and all kinds of awesome, they’re the sort of weddings that take a few steps beyond pretty. And when that crazy gorgeousness is paired with an urban meets rustic loft party?  It’s beyond amazing. See it all captured by Angela Cappetta in the full gallery.

From Angela Cappetta… Laura and Pete met on a trans continental flight from Burbank to New York. He was instantly smitten, and who could blame him. Not only is his bride a top model in NYC, but her heart is as big as her legs are long. In true jet setting fashion, on their wedding day, they landed at Gary’s Loft for a cosmopolitan fete next to the Empire State Building.

Their entire wedding had a global vision, from the Geisha pouring sake, to the champagne set up in a vintage claw foot bathtub, to midnight pizzas delivered from Otto, their favorite restaurant, to the fresh herb favors in clay pots, this wedding sported an international flair as effortlessly cool this bride + groom.

During the entire wedding Pete’s Grandma Rose stood watch. She who owned a bridal shop for 30 years, her husband, a miliner’s supply store, both in the garment district, the latter from where the fabric for Laura’s veil came–the last bolt in the shop before it closed. Grandma Rose took it upon herself to oversee the dress’ intricate fittings to hug Laura’s gazelle like frame, no small task. At the wedding, Grandma Rose beamed at Laura, a vision in her charmeuse gown, and wisely nodded “my seamstress did a nice job.”

And it was good.
