2014 Color Trends by Vera Wang + A Giveaway!

One of my favorite parts of working in the wedding industry is seeing how the color trends change from season to season. To see what’s on the horizon for 2014, we paired up with wedding powerhouse brand, Vera Wang Papers. From jaw-dropping gowns to invitations that will have your guests swooning, they’re right on top of what’s hot for the year ahead! Get ready for inspiration overload, dears! 

First up, regal metallics. We’ve been long obsessed with all things shiny, but this year gold, silver + bronze are taking a front seat in the design world! We’re loving this sophisticated, yet witty, gold-foil + engraved invitation suite on Vera Wang Paper’s exclusive Oyster White paper stock. This little number makes a serious statement. Metallics work perfectly in wedding day decor as well, from gold chairs to place settings and even a fab pair of heels, this trend is on point.  Next up, pink whimsy. The romantic bride will fall head over heels for this style…I know I have! Now for my personal fave: classic black + white. This palette can honestly do no wrong in my eyes. It translates beautifully from traditional to modern, and we’re loving it on this black card engraved with white ink! The contrast in this suite is to die for, and the reverse printing is a fabulous, unexpected detail.

As much as we love a simple, clean palette, a pop of teal is in for 2014! Perfectly modern and truly fashion-forward, the teal layered card + envelope liner from Vera Wang Papers is a fun way to add in a bit of color, while keeping the design rather understated. Carrying touches of the blue-ish hue throughout your wedding day keeps things light, fresh + modern. Last but not least, we’ve got grey is the new black. Charcoal grey is Vera Wang’s signature color, and if I had to choose, it would be mine too. Super sophisticated and timeless, the palette keeps things classic and the scroll design on the Pewter Scroll suite gives off an air of contemporary fun!
