New York City Wedding at Studio 450

This wedding defines chic. It’s perfectly styled without being overly done, and Studio 450 was the perfect setting for just such a soiree. Captured perfectly by Erin H Photography, every image waiting for you in this gallery is worth devouring. See so much more here.

From the Bride…Mike and I always knew that we wanted a non-traditional wedding. Our goal was to have a big party and what other location is better for a big party than New York City. When we began to look for venues, we knew we found the perfect spot when we visited Studio 450 because of the amazing views of the City it offered as well as a blank canvas which let us be creative.

Although our wedding was in November, we wanted to avoid the “fall” look. We initially liked the idea of using metallic colors but realized we needed a pop of color in that beautiful bright white space. With the help of our event designer, we decided on silver and a deep red. Since we decided not to do a formal sit down dinner, our event designer filled the room with lounge furniture, all different sized tables, a custom built mahogany bar and stools. Our guests grazed on food all night from passed hor d’ourves to stations with small plates to a team of chefs frying up fresh donut holes.

We were not too strict with our colors. I chose to have my bridesmaids pick any little black dress they liked and wear fun gold glittery shoes. By the time my wedding rolled around, we had all been in a number of weddings with a number of bridesmaid dresses so I wanted to make it as easy as possible for them.

While we can’t pick out just one thing that sticks out the most about the most memorable and most fun day of our lives, the opportunity to take advantage of the views on top of the Highline for wedding pictures and having passers-by and tourists congratulating us and wishing us the best was an awesome moment. As we were capping off the pictures, we even had a group of kids jump in and take a few shots with the wedding party.
