Elegant Neutrals Niagara Wedding
The all-white color palette is quite possibly my all time favorite. So classic, timeless, chic, and as you can plainly see by this stunning soiree from SBP Photography, beautiful. The wedding was the kind that gives you enough goosebumps you can bottle the extra up and save them for a rainy day.
From the photographer... Aimee and Alex are one of the sweetest and down to earth couples we've worked with. The love Alex has for Aimee is evident and was such a pleasure to photograph them both from their engagement session to their wedding day. Aimee is such a stunner, but is a no fuss no muss girl, I absolutely love it! Her taste and style for her wedding was just exquisite. We knew from the get go we wanted an elegant backdrop for photos for their day, so we chose the Niagara Botanical Gardens.
The night before Niagara Region got hit with one of the worst storms we've had to date, power was out for what seemed forever, trees were over and of course there was flooding. Our team panicked - would we have power to juice our alarm clocks in the morning, would the venue be ok, would the park still look as beautiful as it did prior?! Luckily, all was right the morning of, beautiful, sunny, warm, big fluffy clouds in the sky and a radiant bride and groom. We had to have a little bit of fun with our couple while photographing at the gardens and having experienced stormageddon! (see image of them lifting the tree branch).
The rest of the day like the morning went off without a hitch. Aimee and Alex were greeted warmly at White Oaks Resort by family, friends and dignitaries from all over including Turkey (Alex's background). Their guests had so many choices for the cocktail reception, fine meats and cheeses, pizza, fruit, and even a custom risotto bar with a live chef! Their room oozed with creamy whites and candle light, it was like being in a dream. Each guest was given a Nazar Amulet from the Grand Bazaar in Turkey, this symbol is to ward off evil and give good luck to those who carry it. I especially loved how they married rectangular tables and rounds together it flowed seamlessly. To end the night guests could sip on custom coffee's, lattes and cappuccino's from two machines set up beside our fun photo booth, complete with lace backdrop to compliment the bride's style.
From the stunning bride... We wanted our wedding style to be a mix of elegance and class yet not stuffy or overdone. I wore an uncomplicated strapless lace gown while my bridesmaids wore knee length nude dresses and heels. My husband and his groomsmen looked handsome in simple grey suits. The entire ballroom was elegantly draped with beautiful white fabric and the decor was broken up with neutral and coloured flowers and candlelight.
