From Melanie GabrielleAlexis and Oliver were married august 10th at the gorgeous Seacoast Mission in Bar Harbor, Maine. With the exception of the dessert from Morning Glory Bakery, every little detail was handmade by either the bride and groom or their friends and family. The groom’s mother made homemade jam as favors for the guests, while a friend from the couple’s church gifted them over 50 fresh Maine lobster to serve at their reception…that were picked straight from the lobsterman’s boat! (can’t get fresher than that!!) From the hand-picked bouquets, to the foraged twigs for décor and the hand-painted sailboat centerpieces, there was so much love displayed for this special couple. Alexis and Oliver made a promise to each other to save their first kiss for their wedding altar. It was a promise which made their first kiss as husband and wife so special that at the words “you may now kiss your bride,” the bride literally squealed with excitement!! Portraits were taken both around the island and at the top of Cadillac Mountain. The night wrapped up with wild Maine blueberry pie served at their gorgeous, intimate reception, where guests were able to enjoy the incredible sunset from their waterfront view.
