I’ll be the first to admit that the idea of boudoir can be a bit intimidating but in the right hands, it’s nothing short of perfection. This session is stripped down to the natural beauty of the Bride. A beauty thoughtfully enhanced by Mar Of Team Hair And Makeup and styled by Summer Watkins. From Mar… Of course it’s always a pleasure to work with Jose Villa! This was a special shoot because it was for one of Jose’s amazing workshops in Italy.
I wanted the look to be soft and to enhance her beauty. I chose to only soft waves and added in our Team Bridal extensions for some extra volume. I love effortless hair, no one has to know it took an hour to create! With her makeup I wanted totally natural skin and only winged liner and some highlighting in the right places. Makeup can often be distracting in boudoir and I wanted the man behind the camera to see her and not her makeup! Oh and we must not forget her wardrobe, wowza! Summer did an amazing job pulling pieces which are romantic and soft, just like the style of the shoot!
