New York Rooftop Engagement
Maybe it's my inner Carrie Bradshaw coming out, but this engagement session with that view of the Manhattan skyline has me seriously coveting those shoes. And that dress. And her hair, the view, those black leather pants. All in all, I'm seriously obsessed with every bit of this engagement session from Alicia Swedenborg, especially the couple at the center.
From the photographer... There are many reasons people will advise you not to date a co-worker. Fortunately for Christine and Michael, they chose not to listen to any of those people.
Christine sat outside of Michael’s office for a whole year without saying so much as “hi” or “goodbye” before an office Happy Hour provided Michael an opportunity to break the ice. But Christine didn’t want to date a co-worker; so that meant poor Michael had to try that much harder. After many weeks of emails, text messages and IM’s he finally broke her down and it was the best decision she has ever made – ever.
Happy and in love, both decided it would be best to keep their relationship quiet at work. This meant meeting in “secure” locations for dates – one of those being Madison Square Park; the middle point between Christine’s and Michael’s apartments. After a year and a half of covert dates, Michael popped the question. Now they get to share their love with the whole world (including their office mates!). For their engagement shoot, Christine and Michael decided to revisit Madison Square park, which was the starting point for so many wonderful dates and outings as well as their apartment roof deck (that view!). Christine and Michael are set to get married on May 3, 2014 at St. Francis Xavier Church in New York City with a reception to follow at the Bowery Hotel.
