From Joy Proctor… This look is a tribute to the organic elegance of Provence. We chose a neutral palate of ochre, blush and pale blue hues and paired them with textures of gilded gold, antique silver and natural linen. The table was set under an old oak tree for an elegant and romantic al fresco dinner. To continue the elegance but organic look, we chose handmade paper invitations with intricate calligraphy, and placed the apricot hued cake on an weathered iron table. The bride wore a delicate gown with subtle floral accents and dainty gold jewels. Her hair and makeup were another nod to the romantic look; a loose but elegant updo, rosy cheeks and pale pink lips.

Love the look? Recreating this organic but elegant Provencal look is simple! There are a few key elements that help set the tone.
TABLESCAPE: For the table, find a great natural linen table drape to infuse that organic texture and Provencal feel. We used La Tavola Linens “Tuscany Natural,” but any neutral linen with an organic texture will work! If you cant find one that you like, try a rustic wooden table with some character. To add that hint of elegance, choose some antique gold elements like our antique gold candlesticks to pop off of the organic and neutral linen. We did this with both the fine rimmed god glassware from the Tent Merchant, as well as the candle holders. The contrast between the gold and the neutral linen will add that unexpected pop of elegance. Soften the look with some delicate bone china. We chose a pale blue patterned china with a gold rim.
STATIONERY: Keep the stationery elegant, yet simple. To really play up the elegance of the look, while keeping the look refined, we chose a neutral ink and handmade paper for the invitations. The incredibly elegant calligraphy by The Fozzy Book added the romance without being over done. To recreate the look, keep your colors simple and hire a great calligrapher. Adding a few vintage stamps in neutral tones will add detail.
FLORALS: Don’t be afraid to go wild with greenery! Adding vines and greenery to the florals help create this lush, garden look. When choosing blooms, look for high petal count florals such as garden roses and peonies to compliment and contrast the greenery. The blush and apricot garden roses sourced and arranged by Kelly Kaufman Design were the perfect delicate touch and again played up the organic but elegant look.
BEAUTY: Play up the elegant and feminine look when choosing your bridal style. A delicate gown, with soft details and dainty gold jewelry are the perfect way to give you that understated and timeless elegance. Choose a hairstyle that is romantic and soft, like a loose updo, or some sweet waves in an elegant half up, half down look. For makeup, keep it romantic and neutral. Rosy cheeks, a pale pink lip, and romantic defined eyes. To add that extra touch, wrap your bouquet in a soft hand-dyed silk ribbon, like those by Frou Frou Chic.
