Nautical Elopement Eco Styled Shoot
When it comes to styles, nautical always has my heart. I can never pin point just why I love it so, but when I see a shoot like this one from Kim Kalyn Photography, French Kiss Events, Tuktu Paper Co and Clare Day Flowers I basically have to surrender the rest of my day to devouring all the goodness. And you can join me in doing just that right here.
From Kim Kalyn Photography...Our Nautical Elopement Inspiration shoot took place off the coast of Vancouver Island, a place where gorgeous scenery and picturesque backdrops continue to inspire us daily! With an emphasis on organic & eco-friendly details, we set out to highlight how even the simplest of celebrations, an elopement, can be filled with elegant and simple but stunning beautiful details! Sustainable and eco-conscious styling and beauty products were used on the models; the fruit and oysters were fresh and local, and many of the flowers, including the stunning Caramel Antique Rose, were grown on the Island as well!
The nautical elements were tied in subtly, through the classic navy striped detail on the paper goods, the sea salt favours, the boat necked wedding gown, vintage lanterns, and of course, the boat (not so subtle!)! The table-scape tied in all the colors of our palette, through the simple linens, stunning floral arrangement, and pops of gold! And finally, the piece de resistance came from an old HBC blanket, a Canadian Icon, which was brought out to keep the newlyweds warm on the way back to enjoy their first dinner together.
