Marrying amongst the crisp, autumn leaves is enough to make me (and every other fall-loving girl) go seriously weak at the knees. But when you’ve got it all documented by Manchik Photography? Let’s us say the pretty factor got kicked up another whole notch. Slip on your cozies, clear the schedule, and spend the afternoon hunkered down right here.
From Manchik Photography… There’s something really special about a wedding in the fall. As leaves start turning color, summer slips away, and days get shorter… but it’s okay because there’s anticipation for the new season of hot drinks, rich food, and family gatherings. Cristin and Ryan chose a beautiful time of the year to get married, and a perfect location too. Port Gamble is a tiny, historic town on a peninsula in the Puget Sound.
We seemed to be the only ones outdoors on the windy Saturday afternoon, and the town felt like it belonged to us. After an intimate ceremony in the chapel, we paraded down to the reception with a band cheerfully playing behind the bride and groom. And once indoors, everyone warmed up with cider and hot chocolate.
Ryan loves fishing and his family is in the seafood business, so of course there was an oyster hour and salmon for dinner to go along with the chilly PNW mood. The couple’s first dance was in front of a cozy fireplace. Cristin and Ryan are one of the most gentle and caring couples and it was so easy to be around them all day and fall in love with their relationship.
