From the Bride…John and I met at a mutual friends birthday party. At the time neither of us were looking for anything serious. We just went on a couple of casual dates, hung out and enjoyed each others company. As we kept dating, we realized everything seemed to just work between us and fall in to place. We dated for about 2 years and fell in love and we knew we wanted to spend the rest of our lives together. He proposed to me after a hiking trip up to griffith observatory. Just me, John and my dog. Haha, John knows how much I love our dog and how I wanted her to be there when he proposed. It was the best day of my life… that is, until my wedding day happened.

My advice for future brides is to try to remember that not everything will go perfect and its the mistakes that happen that will make you laugh and remember that moment. Try to stay as stress free on the day of so that you can really enjoy yourself. Take mental pictures throughout the day because like all brides say its happens way too quick. Have fun! it is a celebration after all.

From Jana Williams PhotographyWhen Nancy Park told me about Haiku Mill and showed me images of the venue I knew right away this way going to be glorious. When you think of a destination wedding in Hawaii usually you imagine a resort and a beach but Haiku Mill is tucked up in the hills of Maui. Its actually an old sugar making factory. Sylvia the owner decorated the “cane house” with vintage treasures she gathered over the years in France. Umm…. thats romantic! AHH! the entire experience was just perfect. It rained of course because its rains everyday in Hawaii but that passed pretty quickly and just added another element of beauty to the wedding. Stephanie & John were so laid back. They had one priority and that was to have fun. I remember as I was taking candids of the wedding guest everyone was saying how the Mill looked like something from a fairy tale. The combination of her princess dress, her cinderella shoes, the vintage accents throughout, and the love between she and John I would say Stephaine had her story book wedding.
