Elegant Wedding at New York Historical Society

Elegance and simplicity will always reign supreme in my book. But a dash of big city chicness? Well, that doesn’t hurt one bit either. Mix it all together and you’ll get one heck of a gorgeous day, as evidenced by this Brooklyn love-fest straight from the lens of Smitten Photography. With no shortage of sequins and stunning city views, let’s just say the full gallery is what wedding dreams are made of!

From the Bride… Our vision was to have an elegant and welcoming day where every detail was chosen with the intention for personalizing our wedding and making the guests feel comfortable. Our good friend gave a beautiful sermon at our ceremony.

Since we live in Jackson Hole WY (but the bride is from Brooklyn), we did a romantic and rustic look for the garden and transitioned to a woody elegance for the reception. The groomsmen wore Wyoming sagebrush and hops on their boutonnieres. The sequined textures from the bridesmaids’ dresses were incorporated into the flowers for the reception for a woody and elegant look.
