From Double Knot Photography... Marci and Landon's beautiful wedding was held at a cute venue tucked away in the countryside of Quinlan, TX named Simple Elegance. This name is a beautiful description of Marci's wedding, simply elegant. I know you will love everything about this outdoor wedding from the breathtaking venue, the pastel color theme, Marci's reception party dress, the simplicity of the photos, the intricate DIY table decor, vintage furniture set up and custom gazebo made by her family (to name a few). Marci's budget did not limit her as she planned the wedding of her dreams. Her family wasn't afraid to "get their hands dirty" to help Marci execute this breathtaking day!

From the Bride... I knew from the beginning that I wanted an outdoor wedding. In September, Texas nights begin to cool off in the evening ensuring everyone would be comfortable for my big day. We were married in at Simply Elegant Weddings which was a beautiful setting for an outdoor wedding. Along with April Scott the owner of “The Southern Willow” and soon to be sister-in-law, we began brainstorming DIY wedding decorating ideas. I knew I wanted Southern Elegance as my wedding theme and was excited when we found a Gazebo perfect for saying our vows. We bought yards of ribbon, sheer linens, and a chandelier to hang in the middle and wired it for light. Staying on a budget was essential so we shopped around and found the best deal on fresh roses at Sam’s and ordered 600 white roses that were shipped directly to my home! When they were delivered we clipped, trimmed and wrapped each bouquet with pink ribbon for the bridesmaids and bride. It was important to me to have a personal keepsake from my wedding so I cut quilt squares and left them with permanent markers in a basket so that my wedding guests could write their own personal messages on for my husband and I. Quilting this into a blanket will enable me to save their personal prayers and best wishes forever and wrapping their love around me on cold nights will bring me comfort. My wedding was the perfect southern elegant wedding I always dreamed of and I'm so thankful my family helped me plan the details that made our day so special!
