Caitlin Moran’s Bridesmaid “Ask” Brunch

Hello SMP brides! Caitlin of Style Within Reach here, and today I’m beyond excited to share the easy DIY “Bridesmaid Ask Brunch” I put together in a mere 24 hours for my girls. One of the biggest, and most exciting parts of getting married is selecting your ‘maids, so why not turn it into something a little extra special?

Deciding on bridesmaids proved to be my first big challenge. My fiance and I debated even having a wedding party for a while and finally decided we wanted to keep it small and intimate with a few close friends. I have a lot of close girl friends from growing up, my college years and my post-college life in NYC who are all in different parts of their life right now. In the end I thought about their personal situations and who I really thought could be there standing next to me on my big day.

After I made this choice (with the help of my fiance Austin!) I knew I wanted to do something special for them. When I heard they were planning a surprise trip to take me wine tasting I suggested they meet over at my place (with the exception of my long distance gal) first for brunch.

I splurged on a pretty floral arrangement to set the scene, took the time to write a heartfelt note on pretty cards and made a place setting for each girl with a simple cardstock heart and their initial. An easy fritata fresh out of the oven, my sister’s infamous lavender scones and moscato poached berry mimosas was all we needed for a lovely morning!

Having a special moment with my girls before the wedding festivities and planning really kicked off was something I am so glad I had the opportunity to do. I wanted them each to know how much I appreciate them as dear friends, but also as part of our wedding party!

Stay tuned, lovelies! Because I’m breaking down my DIY bridesmaids ask gift bags coming up next! xoxo
