From Ivy & Gold Photography...I had been dreaming up and thinking about how badly I wanted to do some sort of styled bridal shoot for such a long time, and when I asked her, my lovely friend McKenzie was willing to model for me! At first, I had only a tiny idea of what I wanted this shoot to become, but I was given extra time to plan & scheme due to our repeat planning struggles. (Which was for the best, really.) Between everyday life & Oregon’s unpredictable weather, I almost thought the timing would never work out. But it did! We didn’t let the fact that it was 38 degrees outside, or that the park I originally was planning this shoot for was randomly closed when we got there get us down, and I’m so happy about it. I love the results. Kenzie was so perfect for this simple, vintage, & slightly boho bridal shoot.
As much as I LOVE summer weddings, there's also something so beautiful about Winter weather. The lighting is soft and moody, and everything is so quiet and calm.
I know it can be crazy to think about taking bridal or couple portraits in freezing cold weather, but Winter brides-let this be proof to you that taking some photos outside at your wedding is SO worth it! Even if you’re freezing while it’s happening, you can end up with some seriously lovely images to document a beautiful love and a beautiful event. Once it's over, you won't even remember being cold.
