Rochelle & Timmo met 5 years ago when Timmo was traveling throughout Australia and they ended up working together. After a first date on the day Timmo was leaving to continue his travels throughout Asia the couple kept in touch before Rochelle moved to Amsterdam 10months later. Five years later the couple celebrated their engagement in Rome.
Dreaming of a simple, intimate and elegant wedding the chose a crisp and classic colour palette of apple green, nay & white and were married under a fig tree at Watsons Bay. Their reception was held within walking distance at Dunbar House. The couple were blessed with gorgeous weather and even a rainbow after an earlier morning shower. The bride wore a beaded bodice & tulle skirted gown designed by Australian Hilde Heim purchased at the Wedding Boutique. The groom wore a suit by Peppers Formal Wear. Rochelle's sister was her only bridesmaid and wore a Grecian style, long navy dress by George. Timmo chose his brother as Best Man who wore a Charcoal 3 piece suit also by Peppers Formal Wear. Rings were by Tiffany & Co. Simple classic bouquets of white rannunculas and freesias were made by Lavande Design, Mosman and wedding cake by Kashaya & Co.
SugarLove Weddings were chosen as the photographers on the day for their effortless, natural style. The couple said "our photographers made us feel utterly comfortable on the day, we forgot they were there for the most part of our day. We were amazed by the diversity of the backgrounds they captured within a 20minute photo shoot between our ceremony and reception without ever having to leave Dunbar House."
Dunbar House has beautiful crystal chandeliers, plush navy seating, Catherine Martin carpets and William Morris wallpaper. The couple's table settings included white table linens, clusters of seasonal white flowers in various jars and tea light candles. Green apples with navy ribbons added a touch of colour and character all designed by the bride herself.
Guests were treated to sunset canapés on the upper veranda, served with the couples own fruity cocktail creation and Timmo's favourite Dutch beer. The sit down dinner included prawn rivoli, pork belly, barramundi, herb and mustard crusted lamb rack, chocolate soufflé and cheese plates. The most special part of the day was having Timmo's family & friends attending from The Netherlands.
