With a beautiful, handmade wedding (seriously, some of the DIY projects they took on are unbelievable) and smiles miles wide, these two really are lucky. Lucky to have found such perfect matches in each other, and lucky to have these beautiful images of their big day from onelove photography!
From the stunning bride… The marquee lucky sign that we made was very special for us. The Jason Mraz lyric “Lucky I’m in love with my best friend” was the inspiration. We wanted it to be our bright mantra for the evening because not only are we lucky to have each other, but also to have the best family and friends to surround us in that day and time. It was great to see the guests using it for a photo opportunity too!
The origami escort cards were especially fun for us to create since they represented the places we’ve traveled to throughout our relationship. There was a lot of heart put into them since they required a lot of practice, focus and help from friends in order to pull it off.
We wanted to have a blast with the people we love! That was our number one. One of the best parts of the venue was getting to stay with the whole bridal party and family members overnight in the the surrounding cabins, helping the party last all that much longer.
We also wanted it to be a really intimate and memorable experience unique to the two of us by handmaking certain things and adding our flavor as a couple into all the details and decisions.
After we were done taking all our pictures after the ceremony we actually had time to make an appearance at the cocktail hour. Instead we decided to take time to relax. We grabbed a cocktail and laid together on one of the hammocks on the lawn and had time to reflect on the ceremony, all the emotion and everything that had just taken place. It was perfect, peaceful and really sticks out in my memory of the day.
