Any way you look at it, farm weddings are always awesome. Especially farm weddings like this one captured by Janet Moscarello Photography, a colorful, rustic chic celebration with one glamorous detail after another that are all sorts of amazing. Think custom farm tables, a fabulous Sperry Tent tent and lush blooms that will literally knock your socks off from Wild Folk Studio. See it all right here in the full gallery.
From the Bride… I was really inspired by rustic touches and I had known for a long time that I wanted to incorporate woods and various textures. I also love the juxtaposition of rustic with the refined and elegant pieces mixed in. I wanted to find a new way of doing that. My general taste is a lot of neutrals and natural tones with huge pops of color so that is the direction I decided to go in. I just love jewel tones and loved the idea of having multiple colors, not just one or two. I thought that would be especially fun with the bridesmaids dresses and giving them each their own color to let them all know they were important and special to me.
Family and religion is very important to us and especially those who could not be there with us. We had a candle lighting for our grandmothers that could not be present. I also included a childhood charm of my grandmothers wrapped around my bouquet which was so special. We made an old window frame backed with chicken wire and clipped a bunch of family photos to it with various people in our life. We made a quote board for guests to sign that we could later hang in our home. We also made a large wooden frame with string and clothespins for escort cards that leaned on the wall in the Cove Cabin. Many weathered wood and rustic elements paired with colorful flowers, glassware, lace and silver vases to bring it all together. We did two different flavors for our wedding cake it was fun to have alternating layers. I really loved the look of the loose shaved coconut alternating with the smooth dotted frosting. We had two different types of tables so the tent wouldn’t look like a sea of all the same thing. Long farm tables with runners and a scape of flowers down the middle. Square tables with a full linen and tall arrangements with branches and flowers. Different chairs for each and different place settings to add interest. I think also made the guests feel special!
My boss, Dan Mathieu of MAX Ultimate Food, custom made us a farm table that we could keep and put in our home after the wedding. He took photos and drawings from when we were little that our mothers collected for him and he permanently placed them on the table top. It was the most amazing and personalized gift we received and was just so creative and special! We really love that we had some pieces there that we could always have and see!
