Pink and Gold Wedding Inspiration

No matter what the occasion, Ruth Eileen never disappoints. So when we got wind of her pink and glittery gold New Year’s shoot alongside the amazing Tamara MengesDeborah Nadel, and Winifred Paper, it was ALL we could do not let out a squeal. (Ok, so maybe we did) But can you blame us? It’s the picture of perfect and the very best way to ring in 2014. Here’s to another year or pretty! xoxo

From Tamara Menges Designs… Ruthie reached out to us several weeks ago via email and invited us to collaborate with her on this shoot, as she was planning to visit family in Texas. I was so excited that I think I said yes before I even fully read her email! Her idea was to keep neutral color pallete with lots of glitter, oh she had me at glitter! We came up with a concept of an elopement story, as Ruthie wanted the setting natural and in a field. This was actually shot on someone’s personal property and we were just 50 feet from the house, creating the perfect opportunity for an oh-so-intimate nuptial ceremony and dinner setting under the beautiful Texas sun.

The ceremony was simple with a beautiful crystal chandelier from Bourbon and Bloom Vintage Rentals. We chose a soft blush and flowy knee-length gown from BHLDN for the bride to wear, and the groom wore his own charcoal grey suit. We kept hair and make-up soft and natural with a slight pop in the eyes. For the bouquet we went a bit grand, in both size and texture as the bride loves flowers so we wanted to create the bouquet she had always dreamed of. We styled the perfect sweetheart table for the couple complete with a chevron sequined linen from Ocassions.

The dessert area was styled-to-the-nines with a brass bar cart from Bourbon and Bloom, a personal wedding cake (the perfect size just for our sweet newlyweds) homemade marshmallows, and of course macaroons. Some of the décor accessories were easy DIY projects such as the countdown numbers and the handpainted canvases. We also found the gold glittered party hats, noisemakers, and large number balloons at a local party store, be still my glitter covered heart! Winifred Paper created the best paper suite and confetti favors as well!
