From Rebecca Yale Photography… Julie-Anne and Laurent are native Parisians, but have been living in New York City together for the last year. They are getting married next September back in France, so they wanted to embrace their new city for their engagement photographs.

We wanted to focus on iconic New York landmarks starting with the dramatic skyline of Manhattan from DUMBO. We walked all around the water front stopping at One Girl Cookie for a couple of espressos, which was the perfect setting for a classic New York coffee shop. We crossed over the Brooklyn Bridge, which was pretty empty at that early hour and like many girls before her, walking home after a long night of dancing, Julie-Anne took off her heels and carried them across the bridge. Our last stop of the day was in Central Park where we stood on the rocks above Wollman’s Rink where the city meets the park a perfect juxtaposition of the beautiful nature of the park surrounded by the skyscrapers of Columbus Circle. The rain held out just long enough for us to stroll down the iconic Poet’s Walk and cross over Bow Bridge. Their French elegance and charm, not to mention their love for each other shines through in their beautiful engagement photographs.
