We’re inside the 24-hour mark to my personal favorite day of the year and that makes today almost as exciting. Happy Christmas Eve loves! And to celebrate this special day, we have an adorable Christmas tree farm engagement session from Feather & Twine Photography. I think it’s gearing up to be the happiest of Eve’s ever!
From the beautiful bride to be… Dennis and I got engaged in August 2012 and knew we wanted to have a long engagement. I wanted to give myself plenty of time to plan the wedding. We had a bit of an unconventional proposal. He took me with him to design my engagement ring because he was nervous I would not like something he picked out on his own. Then he kept telling me that he was going to play a prank on me and “pretend propose”. Then when he finally did propose I assumed he was playing a prank but he really wasn’t. So it took some convincing on his part to get me to believe he was really proposing. As soon as I realized he was being sincere, my way of saying yes was to tell him that, “If you’re really giving me this, you aren’t getting the ring back.” Being engaged is such an awesome feeling and experience. I am happy to have had 14 months to soak in this chapter of our lives. When we were deciding where & when to do our engagement photos, I knew I either wanted them in a pumpkin patch or at a Christmas tree farm. Halloween & Christmas are my two favorite holidays. We decided on Christmas because Dennis’ birthday falls on Christmas day and we thought that would make our engagements more meaningful to us later in life. We cannot wait for our wedding on November 9th!
