Christmas is such a special time for my husband David + I. It's the time of year when we bust out all of the decorations, share cozy nights at home with hot chocolate, and watch our favorite holiday movies ("It's A Wonderful Life" for me, and "Christmas Vacation" for him) It's also the time of year when we celebrate a very special day in our lives: he asked me to marry him on Christmas morning 2010.

Last year, our first Christmas card as husband + wife had, of course, one of the many gorgeous photos from our September 2012 wedding {which was featured on the Style Me Pretty California blog!} This year I wanted to mix it up a bit and design a festive session to kick off the holiday season and document our second Christmas as Mr + Mrs.

Thanks to Pinterest, I stumbled across Studio Mucci and their AMAZING tassel garlands. Studio Mucci has so many color combos to choose from, and lucky for me, they had just launched their holiday line. I built my décor around the "Classic Christmas Tassel" - everything just came together from there! A few candles, some time baking sugar cookies, our favorite Anthropologie mugs, glittered pinecones, a few signs, props + ornaments {including one made from our "D+M" wedding cake topper} and voilà! A bright + cheery Christmas backdrop was created.

Of course, none of this would have been captured to perfection if it wasn't for the lovely Brittanee Taylor! She's so bubbly, creative, and so, so good with the camera! Brittanee captured amazing shots, which I can't wait to send to family + friends this holiday season!
