From the Bride…We LOVE, LOVE, LOVE to travel, especially together. We wanted to showcase our shared love of traveling in some of the design elements of the wedding. For example, our table numbers named different places we’ve been outside of the states (including the San Blas Islands, one of our favorites!). The escort cards were hand-made paper planes, the seat cards were tea-stained travel luggage stubs, and the advice cards were written on vintage travel postcards!
We wanted the wedding to ooze with elements of H + M (our nickname), so we incorporated a lot of our personal favs and personality into the details of the wedding (for example, fried chicken, apple pie from Marie Callender’s, dahlias and chamomiles, whiskey based signature cocktails, a cigar roller, and Gangnam Style). However, what was most important to us was having an intimate party under the stars with lots of dancing involved. I think we definitely accomplished that! Our day was supremely magical, and we had a blast celebrating with our best friends and family.
