Martha’s Vineyard Wedding from Jenny Moloney

I can’t even begin to describe how much I love this Martha’s Vineyard wedding. Nothing I would say would do it justice. From the Bride’s vintage gown and veil (that just so happened to be her mother’s) to all the heartfelt details – there aren’t words worthy of such a fête. Luckily Jenny Moloney‘s images speak for themselves. And you can see them all right here.

From the Bride…Martha’s Vineyard is a place I grew up going every summer as a kid. I had great memories there with my family. When Jayson and I started dating we brought back the tradition and we went down in the summer with my family and created new memories there. He loves the island as much as I do. We only thought it fitting, that we get married there. It was very important for us to have a great party for everyone we love, in a place we love. We found the Sailing Camp Park on a whim, last minute when we thought Martha’s Vineyard was not in our budget. When we met John the keeper of the grounds and saw the camp, we knew it was right. It had a great view, with a casual feel, perfect.

Jayson coming from a restaurant/banquet background, knew we could create a great party on our own, so we went for it. We wanted a meaningful party, where inspiration came from friends and family and our own experiences. We used Buckley Catering from the island, who put on an amazing NE Clambake. Guest feasted on mugs of clam chowder, steamed lobster, cornbread, clams and muscles. The MOH, sister of the bride made the cake! We got so carried away at the rehearsal we forgot to cut it! My 89 year old grandmother folded over 900 paper cranes for the hanging decorations, I wore my mothers vintage Pricilla wedding dress and veil. Classical guitar played from the islands own Erick Johnson, and Jenny Moloney from Jenny Moloney Photography captured every moment and emotion of the day. The weather was amazing, guests came from all over the country and overseas, a perfect day.
