I love a wedding that has an air of simplicity. One that truly allows the love of the two people saying I do to really shine through. And even though the gown is stunning, and the details are divine, it’s the couple that really sparkles. This beauty from Melani Lust is the perfect example of just such a day, and every moment sitting in this gallery proves my points that sometimes simple is oh-so-sweet.
From Melani Lust Photography…I love a small wedding, with the focus on family, closest friends, beautiful details and the most delicious award winning food. This one, tucked in a corner of Westchester County at Richard Gere’s Bedford Post Inn, focused on the bride and groom, without a formal wedding party. The couple discovered the Inn while on a hike, which is something they love to do together as the proposal was at the Temple of the Sun in Machu Picchu, Peru.
While the wedding was influenced by the Gatsby era, it was not a Gatsby wedding. The bride’s dreamy Fillmore gown set the stage for casual elegance. The rain ebbed and flowed allowing dragon flies and flowers to flourish, within a dreamy atmosphere, guests enjoyed the charming property and the romantic tent ceremony.
