Wrapping up a week’s worth of pretty is no easy feat. But this time around, we found a little something that more than fits the bill. You see, this stunning bride is also a breast cancer survivor — talk about amazing! But she also happens to be a fashionista through and through. She slipped on her vintage James Galanos gown for a portrait sesh with Ashley Sawtelle, and the results? Well, they’re what bridal beauty is truly all about.
From Ashley Sawtelle Photography… Take away the Jimmy Choos, the vintage couture gown and the blushing peonies and you still have a beautiful bride, inside and out. The bride, Samantha, in an absolute inspiration. By the age of 25 she was diagnosed with breast cancer and by 27 had a double mastectomy. While a cancer patient she fell in love, got engaged and is now his lovely bride. After her engagement and while receiving treatment, she purchased a STUNNING James Galanos vintage couture gown for her wedding one day. She wasn’t sure if she would ever get the chance to wear it as his bride. I’m happy to report that she is in remission and the couple wed this spring. Their story is truly inspiring and is a testament to not only her strength, but their love as a couple.
