When classic black tie marries al fresco beach casual the result is nothing short of magical. The juxtaposition of the traditional with the outdoor sunny locale in this wedding is everything I needed today and then some. A great big thanks to Allyson Magda Photography and the beautiful, dog loving couple for sharing the day with us!

From the beautiful bride… My husband and I grew up 15 minutes apart from each other in Southern California, but did not meet until we both attended college in New England. When it came time to plan the wedding, we knew we had to return to our roots and hold the wedding close to our family and friends. Luckily, we fell in love with the first venue we visited – The St. Regis – a beautiful spot by the ocean with a small botanical garden in which to hold the ceremony.

The St. Regis drove much of the detail planning. We wanted to keep things simple, yet match the understated elegance of our ceremony and reception sites. It was important to keep the day low-stress and make sure all of our guests had fun. While we had some ideas about the color scheme and decorations, we knew that we had selected a dream team of vendors (led by the wonderful Agape Planning) to help bring our vision to life. For example, we were able to show our love for dogs by having an animal shelter bring in some darling dogs to join our cocktail hour. We were fortunate to book the very talented Allyson Magda to capture the festivities. Looking through the photos brings a smile to my face every time! We can’t thank our vendors enough for all the hard work they put into making our wedding day a success. They were so fun and easy to work with – I trusted them completely, which gave us more time and energy to spend with our guests!
